If you are visually impaired we have a growing database of trained, licensed Guide Runners to help you start or continue running safely. Enter your town or postcode to find a Guide Runner near you.

Find a Guide

As part of our commitment to making running accessible and safe for everyone, England Athletics (founders of RunTogether), in partnership with British Blind Sport, have developed a training and licence scheme for runners wishing to become guides and a national database of guide runners known as 'Find a Guide' to help visually impaired individuals search for, and contact, licensed Guide Runners to support them to run.

We have guide runners of all abilities, so whether you're just getting started or a seasoned runner, the database allows you to find the right guide for you in your area.

Find a Guide terms of use:

  • You must be 18 years or over to use the Find a Guide database.
  • Your contact details will only be shared with the guides you contact.
  • By using the Find a Guide database, you agree to England Athletics/RunTogether getting in touch to find out about your experiences of running and to update you on any changes to the database. Your personal contact details will not be shared with any third parties.

Becoming a Guide Runner

Being a guide runner for visually impaired individuals is a fantastic way to help others enjoy the physical and mental health benefits that a regular running habit brings.

Whilst anyone can guide a visually impaired (VI) runner, to help prepare you, and to provide VI runners who are looking for a guide with safety assurance, England Athletics have developed a Guide Runner Licence and the 'Find a Guide' database, in partnership with British Blind Sport.
